Before Painting Prepare The
Surface... Clean the area of dirt, oil, and grease.
Follow directions on cleaning solutions.
Sand or degloss shiny surfaces to enhance paint
adhesion. Follow directions on deglossers for best
results. Scrape chalky and flaking paint with
sandpaper, wire brushes, or scrappers.

|
Repair cracks and fill nail holes
with patching compound. Let dry, then sand smooth.
Use some old rags for protection over rugs,
shrubbery, furniture, etc. For walls and ceilings
remove all switch, outlet plates and light fixture
collars, pictures, mirrors, drapes, and all other
hardware. If mildew is present, use a special
mildewcide treatment.
For unpainted surfaces apply a first coat of
primer/sealer according to can label directions. We
advise you when possible to take the object outside
of your home when possible and cover the ground
around it with newspapers or plastic foil. Small
particles of paint always fall on the ground when
painting.

If you do not use spray cans on a regular basis we advise you to test the paint
itself on some carton boxes or other object of less value. This will help you to
get the feeling on how to control the spray can. Try painting closer and further
(25-40 cm) from the object you will see how this will effect the result. Try
dividing the paint equally by making controlled smooth moves with your hand.
Paint up and down the object first and then from left to right.
|
  |
1. Shake t he spray
can well before use, this will make the paint come out more
equally.
2. Keep the object you wish to paint at 25 cm distance from the spray can
and paint the object. Keep the spray
can in a vertical position and make draws from up to down and
from left to right.
3. After use some paint always remains in the nozzle. Turn the spray can
upside down so only gas will come out of the can. This will clean the nozzle.
